Like a month and a half ago I read like 4 hours on weekdays and up to 12 on weekends...then I was manic for idk how long. Then I was down a little bit. Now I'm up again.

Why haven't I even touched a book in a month.

In not really upset about it or anything, I'm just wondering if anybody else does this. When I start reading again, will that be a sign that I'm stable? Just curious, thanks!

I read in cycles. It just depends. I'm not 100% sure what my cycle is though. Something to look into more.

I seem to go in cycles as well. To some extent, It's the book I'm reading. If I find it really interesting I'll devour it. But sometimes the book is something I want to read, but it's still not really that interesting, if that makes any sense. Then it may take me weeks & weeks to finish it. I also spend WAY TOO MUCH time on the internet to get much reading done...

Yeah it could be the interest factor of the book.

It just seems like it hasn't even occurred to me to read until now though.

If I get into a book its gone quickly. But there are times that I will get books can't read them then later I'll read it like its air. I need it.

I have trouble reading during mood episodes because my concentration will be poor, so i'll read pages and not remember what i read. It didn't used to be that way, it's been the last few years. It can be hard to focus now even when i'm feeling good. Sometimes i can read, but other times i just give up. It's too bad, because i love to read. I hope it improves again

there are times I read everything in sight, then periods when even the comics are too much I do believe it is mood related,, lack of clarity and motivation

I love to read but when I'm depressed I can't be bothered and if I'm in a mixed state it's hit or miss. It's only when I'm feeling good that I can read and concentrate on what I'm reading. Since I've been taken off the depressive meds I'm reading again.

I go thru spells of reading a bunch, then stopping. I'm like that with writing too. My attention span differs.

If I'm hypomanic, or sometimes even at baseline I have trouble concentrating on books, even though I love reading.
