So, I'll start off by saying I feel empty. I feel nothing, not happy or sad in this moment. I know that an hour or now I'll get back on the "roller coaster" I've had these chaotic mood swings for as long as I can remember. I thought it was normal for females to be emotional but a current episode that occurred at my bf's house made him scared. I can go from being in an extremely good mood to crying my eyes out or slamming the door in anger. This can happen in one day, always changing in different hours of the day. One little word that doesn't agree with me can trigger the opposite mood. Are these signs? Should I get help?

Yes they are classic signs of Borderline Personality Disorder. Perhaps post on the BPD board and they may be able to share some coping strategies for you. This is not a diagnosis - just informing you that theses are signs of Borderline.

This is not "normal" for Bipolar 2 but is common in Borderline personality disorder. Check out the criteria and see if it fits for you. Many people with BPD are wrongly diagnosed with Bipolar as the pdocs are either not informed that the swings are happening by the hour/day or they are just using the diagnosis to get covered by insurance (I am under the impression that BPD is not covered by insurance but BPII is, so they use that diagnosis to keep the patient covered.)

DBT could be very helpful for you and these symptoms.
Thanks for this!

check out this site Out of the FOG - Feelings Of Emptiness

has a pretty good explanation of BPD characteristics.
