Anyone on Saphris? Have you had problems with a nasty taste, like chemicals, on your taste buds? I am not talking about the taste of the med, I am talking about all the other times during the day! It didn't start until my pdoc upped my dosage recently. Thinking I am going to call him on Monday, but wanted to know if anyone had any solutions that worked for them. I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of this taste!

Oh no, you have to get the black cherry flavor and even that takes getting used to. I know the other is gross!

I didn't even know Saphris had a black cherry flavoured version. Maybe not in Canada?
I'm on Saphris but it's not really working for me and I can't take the morning dose because I sleep through class. I absolutely hate the taste, and the tongue numbness, and I'm scared it's hurting my teeth, but I've never noticed any lingering taste effects. I've only been on it since November. I noticed that spaghetti sauce tasted different, but it's been a long time since I tried that brand so maybe the recipe changed. |

I don't think there is any cherry flavor available where I live. I have the regular gross tasting one - but the trick is to take it with a tic tac. Helps a lot

I hated the taste at first but eventually found it did indeed get more tolerable to the point where I didn't notice it much. It did make my tongue slightly numb underneath though but I was only on the nightly dose and I'd take it as I was falling asleep. Couldn't taste it when I awoke.
