Well I start taking lamictal tonight. I finally gave in and asked to be put on a mood stabilizer. I'm hoping it will help with the persistent mood swing especially the irritibility and depression. while not as severe as it is when I'm on no medication at all its still very frustrating. so wish me luck with this one lol

What dose are you starting on?

It's a very safe medication to take with no real noticeable side effects. You have to start at a low dose and work your way up because it can cause allergic reactions in some people.

Just from my own experience on it for the last few years, it does more to control mania than it does depression. You mileage may vary.

Lamictal is awesome for me. Once I got up to 200 mg, I'm on cloud 9.

I'm also on it...200mg.in am and 200mg in pm..it's a miracle drug for me. I've been on it for 10 years now and I love it. I've had zero side effects too which is great. I wish you the best of luck with it. Let us know how it goes!
