Hi I am new and of course just trying to get to know everyone. So figured I would ask what career field everyone is in? I myself work for Best Buy, Customer Service Rep in a call center... I'm conflicted on if I even like the job it really stresses me out. Because most customers just want someone to grip at.. Some days I just wanna answer the phone like "Thanks for calling best buy you can scream at me now"... Its getting to the point just thinking about going to work sends me extremely close to a full on panic attack

Love your avatar btw, cute.

I am a Sr Business analyst for a mortgage outsourcing company. I am not sure what I am allowed to say anymore about company name as they have all these rules now about online interaction and stuff so I keep it to a minimum.

I work for a company that builds web applications to solve clients needs for loans in default.

I loved the job for a long time (been there 10 years now) but am starting to dislike and actually loathe it. Not so much the work as the political nonsense that takes place along with poor communication.

One thing I didn't get from BPD or BPII is that the job hopping, thankfully. That has one thing that I don't have to worry about as I am good at it so there is that.

I currently work as an internet marketing analyst. (As one of those people that track the online activity of our customers... long story short... we're not as evil as we're made out to be.)

I like where I'm at now (classic job hopper) and have been in my current position for last year and a half (which... fun fact... is the longest stretch of employment I've had at a single place in my entire adult life. I just realized this a few weeks ago and was exceptionally excited.)

It's very conducive to my personality. If I'm having a bad day I can put my headphones on all day and people will pretty much leave me alone. But on one of those fabulous days there's no shortage of people to talk to. And being an analyst is perfect for keeping my focus on something.

I also am a classic job hopper. I have been where I am now for about a year although living here in Florida there is no shortage of rentals are condos needing cleaned so I do that on the side. As vacation season is getting closer I once again can see me fully job hopping again, only because If i wanna be alone I can be. All up in the vacation rental head phones in cleaning away with no disturbance or stress really.

I'm currently a stay at home mom. My kids are 12,6 and 3. The 12 and 6 year old have severe ADHD and the 3 year old is following in their footsteps. Between them and my own moods sometimes I have no idea what's going on. Lol

You have my sympathies! I just got fired, essentially, for nursing while bipolar.....I was the DNS for a large assisted living facility and it finally got too much for me to handle. I went out on medical leave in mid-April because I was freaking out at work, and my pdoc gave me the choice between taking leave and going inpatient. When I got back, I was terminated even without a trial of the 'reasonable accommodations' my doctor and I requested. Not sure how they got around the ADA on that one, but they did.

Which was f'ed up, IMHO---they've known about my BP for some time. It shouldn't have surprised anyone that I cracked under the extreme pressure. But where's the compassion, the 'core values' they always brag about in their mission statement? What a joke.

That's because working with demanding patients, entitled families, snippy doctors, and other healthcare professionals makes us crazy.

For the next 25 days I'm still doing Customer Service at ADT after that? who knows where the wind will blow me. I have been forced to stop the job hopping (it so HAAARD) because I'm a single mom with a school aged daughter, but I usually go for admin type jobs, so we'll see in a few weeks where I end up.

Well, I've never used the word "career" in self-reference. Probably a big clue there. Just a quick recollection brought 31 jobs to mind. There are more, just not remembering them at the moment. Really smart. Hard worker. But...yeah. Where to even start with the whys...
Anyhow, currently picture framing. Which I like. And miracle of miracles, I don't have to deal with customers. Or the phone. TG.

Night manager at a gas station. I like it because I'm alone most of the time. I get locked in at midnight and reopen the doors at 5:30. I just clean and do paperwork. Loves it.
