I haven't had "normal" sleeping patterns since high school, so I know probably the main issue is breaking bad habits. I do take Flurazapam for sleep though, and I've heard those meds only work so long. I've been on a few others in the past. I've tried Melatonin too, it seemed to have the opposite effect.
I really don't understand why my sleep patterns are so opposite seemingly from everyone else I know. To me, it's normal, I've been living with it a long time. I'm guessing this is related a lot to bipolar. Since it's been going on since I was a young adult.
I guess I need to go back to the doctor or something. I'm just so sick of doctors, esp when they don't help, and charge outrageous prices.
My husband's snoring doesn't exactly help this situation. I've been trying so hard to just get him to go to the dr! He's scared to go, well crap I've been to so many drs I've lost track
If I'm ever to be successful in a career, I need to sleep well at night!
Just ranting here.
Thanks for reading

The only thing I can suggest for your husband's snoring is earplugs, until he gets treated for his snoring.
What works for me, is I always set the same bedtime. I always go to bed at eight o'clock. When I first did this, I was on a sleeping pill called Atterax. Now I don't need the pill anymore. It became habit.
Thanks for this!
