I'm from Chicago where winter this year has been brutal. I'm currently visiting an aunt in Miami. I have been here a week and I'm realizing just how much my mood is better with sunny days! It's a big difference, I feel so happy, relaxed, and in such good spirits. Most days I don't need anything to help me sleep. I know I have seasonal disorder so on more than 1 occasion I've thought this week how things would be for me with my BP if I were to move here. It's a big decision but I think health wise I would be so much better. Although with Summer I do have to watch for symptoms of mania, I think overall I like the idea.
I'm spending another week here and not looking forward to when I leave.

I must agree! Winter has been terrible everywhere, much worse than usual. I HATE cold!!! I feel like I don't even remember January and February which is no good. We had a taste of warmer weather last weekend but then it went below freezing again until yesterday. I hope warmer weather is on the horizon!

My best friend moved to Vermont many years ago, when we were 19. She wanted me to come with her and as beautiful as Vermont is, I knew I would never survive the winter.

Florida is nice! It would be quite a big move but if you think the benefits outweigh the risks then go for it!

I an much happier in sunny Tucson. There are great lengths of time without a cloud in the sky. And I wear a T-shirt during winter, while back East they are having debilitating snow storms. Moving out of that crap has helped me.
