Hi I am new here and am glad I found this site. I have bipolar one and am starting to come to terms with it. I felt before I just don't deal with stress well and I shut down when I worry or am scared about something. I have had 3 manic episodes in the last 9 years. One when my dad died one when my husband and I spit and those were so close together. I just thought they were breakdowns because of the lack of sleep and the sadness of it. I had one more episode two years ago when I let worry and fear spiral out of control and didn't sleep for afew days. It wasn't as bad as the other two but was told it was bipolar 1 then. I have been on medication for the last 2 years and am doing fine. I worry about things more than other people and sometimes am not in the moment when I overload my plate. Would love to make friends who have bipolar one and be support buddies. I am learning alot about taking care of myself and doing things that help me stay me like
getting my sleep exercising journaling meditation not over loading my plate daily gratitudes and more. |

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find a lot of support and information here. It helps to know that you're not alone. You seem like you are already very mindful of some of the things that work for you. Keep posting and reading!
