Hi, I'm new here. I didn't know what to do so I joined this support forum, hoping it would help My moods have been crazy, I've been known to rapid cycle but it feels like I'm not even on my meds anymore... I'm depressed and then angry and then psychotic (that happens too, I'm bipolar not otherwise specified because I have other symptoms). I'm never manic though, that's the only thing the meds actually do, which kinda sucks cause i can't even feel happy... I've been isolating more and more... I can hardly make it to school or work.. I don't know anymore

Have you discussed your current symptoms with your psychiatrist? You might need a med adjustment, or even new meds altogether. What have you been taking?

The only thing I can think of is talk with your psychiatrist. You might need an additional medication like Ablify.

Hi - I'm your friendly bipolar outlaw and it's great that you've decided to join us here! I too, am a rapid-cycler BP1, and I too have a history of problems with my medications. And while I know that nearly everyone likes their manic episodes - they terrify me. As I love to tell others, "Your mania is a lot of fun until the FBI surrounds you." That actually happened to me - but because I was determined to be "legally insane" they let me go. It took another twelve (12) years after that incident until my pdoc got the right mix of psychotropic medications to keep me out of trouble. So, DON'T EVER GIVE UP! The dawn will always follow the night.
Thanks for this!

Well I'm on seroquel, but the problem is that it makes me SO tired. I tried latuda before going back to seroquel, but it didn't work and I just had the side effects. Abilify is the same way. I've been thinking about haldol. My doc suggested lithium, but I'm afraid of it...

Agree with Sammy

Never ever give up.

Sometimes it takes a long time for your P.doc to get
the right mix of meds

Anger can be a Mania .. Not all Mania episodes are" puppy rainbow I'm on top of the world over spending stuff . "

Advise your Pdoc about how your feeling.
