I took Dopeamax's cousin Trileptal. It stopped the twitching in my eye but it made me manic.

It was a mood stabilizer for me. It worked. But I only had hypo manias. It did not drug me up to any noticeable degree.

I had the side effect of not being able to recall words. I lost 20 pounds fairly quick though the first time I took it, second time no weight loss. Not sure what the difference is in it bc it was the same dose as before. I couldnt stand not being able to come up with words I knew and just couldn't get them out do I went off of it again. It kept me stable.

See I took it for a while..no weight loss for me but I did lost words I knew too! I just couldn't come up with them and I kept losing track of what I was saying etc. My Dr let me quick it a couple weeks ago and now I talked to her because Ive been depressed again and she wants me to take it again. If 50mg did all that to.....she wants me to just take 25mg this....its so annoying, all this.

I've taken it, it did nothing. New trials suggest there's no evidence based info that it works for bipolar. The best thing for it is that it typically causes no weight gain.
