Greetings to all. I am diagnosed as Bipolar II but since starting Abilify about four years ago my mood has remained down and I've gained 60, yes sixty, pounds. I fear leaving the house and having people see the abundant new me. I gave up Abilify 4 months ago and have been even more depressed but only lost 9 pounds. Any similar stories?

sounds like abilify wasn't very successful for you. im on Topamax and it has worked great. been stable on it for 3 years and lost 55 pounds.

You need to try another medication. From what you've posted you need to get professional help asap.

Ya I tried zyprexa last year and started to gain weight so I quickly got off of it..now I'm on geodon abd it helps do much with no weight gain. I.hope things get better for you. :-)

I gained 15 lbs on Zyprexa.
