Not sure if I really need to go. But since it won't stop consuming my mind, maybe its a good idea.

Why is it the the hospital seems a safe place. I actually hate going there. But the thought of being safe consumes me.

I guess no response means I need to go.

If you feel like you need to be in a safe place then I think you should go. It won't hurt, I found it to be a very good experience and gave me relief from my overwhelming depression and anxiety.

Sometimes it takes people time to respond. You didn't give us much time.

Good luck, if you do go to the hospital, but please don't blame your need to go to the hospital on our lack of response.

Take care.

My mind races with no stop in sight. I blame no one but myself. Maybe I should have seeked help earlier. I do not wish to involve my spouse. Not sure he'd understand. I'll do my best through the night and go in the morning. Thanks for your responses. Just feeling a little desperate.

Not involve your spouse? What is he there for if not to support you and help make decisions? I feel for you because I've been there. Best of luck to you. (seriously consider taking advantage of the fact you have someone)
Thanks for this!

I decided to talk to my spouse. He is the only one that has been there for me. He gave me the cons of going to the hospital. But I think he supports my need to go. At least he's her for me tonight. I'll face tomorrow in the morning.

He says he doesn't understand the whole bipolar cycling that happens to me. But he loves me and is here for me. I agree. I'm a lucky woman to have such a great man. And he's been through some of the really ugly stuff with me. Not sleeping tonight. Just listening to the rain. Its kinda soothing.

I came close to hospitalization once or twice but I'm kind of glad that I didn't have to go. I don't think anyone at work would understand and I feared it would interfere with me getting promotions and such. If I were you I'd at least call your doctor and let them know how your feeling or go to the ER especially if you're thinking about hurting yourself. Good luck and I hope you can pull yourself out of the spot you're in.

It's good to hear you have someone that's there for you I would listen to what your body tells you. If you feel like it's a good idea then I would recommend going. Better then not going and having something bad happen later. Take care of yourself!

Thank you. I lost my job during a maniac episode a few years back. It scared me enough that I take my bp seriously. Even though I get I'msuicidal, I don't want to die. I just want to go to sleep and wake up with no more pain and turmoil. Unfortunately, my filter doesn't work and I unconsciously take things to the extreme. That's why the hospital feels like a safe place for me. Morning is startung to come around. I'll take myself in then.

Definitely talk to your spouse. Having someone you love in your corner can help. Good luck.
