Got up and wasn't feeling great. We are raising one of our grandchildren, There was a bed wetting accident. I was cleaning that up.
My husband got up and went downstairs without offering to help even carry the soiled laundry down.
My granddaughter was fussing. I carried her downstairs, set her down by my husband (who had the day off work), and I said "caution, very cranky grandma today".

A while later he said something and I snapped at him to which he said "what is your problem?" so that irritated me because I had already told him I was cranky. I told him again I was cranky. and he says "I see that" in a smart tone.

I tried retreating into my ouwn head by doing some mindless things on the computer. He kept trying to talk to me. I got frustrated so he asks "what is so important on the computer you can listen to me". Things like this kept going on, not to mention "what's for lunch?" Think he could offer to make lunch when I'm in a mood like this!?!

I'm in a bad mood and cranky for no apparent reason. I just wake up like this some times. I warned him when I came down. I JUST WANT LEFT ALONE! It isn't like this is the first time it's happened. Shut up and leave me alone when I'm like this!

Do you get like this?

I get that way more toward the end of the day. The more tired I get the crankier I get. My husband has learned to look at my face and tell if he should keep his mouth shut, but it took a long time for him to learn.

I do! My kids know if my door is closed to leave me alone. My wife died in 2002, andI still have 2 kids at home.I raised 4 boys by myself and they grew up with my moodiness.I am a rapid cycler and will be laughing then yelling, then crying, then laughing again in a matter of moments. They know when to stay out of my way.
