I was diagnosed in January with "Mixed Bipolar Disorder" after living with clinical depression all my life. I'm trying to navigate the site properly. Glad to be a member and look forward to sharing and supporting one another. Thank you.

I am doing well. My moods have been stable for about 4 weeks, so I have been having some relief for sure. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it because he requires me to exercise 20-30 minutes a day and I can't get myself to do that. I've been counting walks around Wal-mart and house cleaning as exercise because not too long ago I couldn't get myself to do either one. The depression was so bad it was a success if I brushed my teeth and took a shower.

Welcome! This group is very supportive and helpful! I know you will feel supported and gain a lot from it! Our 14 y/o daughter was diagnosed with mixed states and bipolar 3 months ago. She is on Lithium, Abilify and Propanolol and doing much better!
