Supposedly that's one of it's uses -- for generalized anxiety disorder -- seems to have helped mine...a bit.

I got myself in this trouble, I stopped taking it for a couple of days. My period is also coming, I'm back on it today. It's the only med I can afford right now.

It helps somewhat, I can tell the difference when I'm not on it.

I especially see it helps with my PMDD, big difference. It's the only med I can afford, all others are too expensive. I will continue to take, not taking it for a couple of days, not a good feeling.

Me, too. I'm bipolar with GAD. My p-doc put me on 200mg Zoloft and I went into such a severe mixed state I don't even know how I survived it. Eventually dropped the Zoloft way down...I've been at 75mg., which has been much better - but still feeling too much anxiety/angst. My plan is to drop the Zoloft down to 50mg this week with hopes that'll be the optimum dose to alleviate depression, but not set off all the other awful stuff.

So...to answer your question gris212, whether or not Zoloft helps you really depends upon...you. You have to find your proper dose.
