I was going to lead a BP chat, but realize I should have taken a poll to see what people would like it to do for them, what they are interested in talking about, the format, etc. There are so many aspects to a chat, I decided to skip the poll and just ask for feedback.

Would you be willing to share your ideas here? I hope this thread will be helpful to anyone thinking about leading one.

I really like hearing about other peoples experiences. I like the validation, knowing that others are going through a lot of the things I am. That helps me a lot. A chat would be great, I think. I'm down for that.
Unfortunately I would have no idea on how to begin a chat, just wanted you to know I think It's a great idea.

An open forum to discuss anything at all related to Bipolar. The moderator should keep the conversation going, directing the conversations to productive grounds, possibly even asking questions to the group of participants. Facilitate the group helping each other.

Just some ideas.

I've never participated in a chat and don't even know how to do it?

Maybe some brainstorming on how to cope with particular symptoms?

I think, for me, just knowing how others feel and deal helps me a great bit. I like to know I am not alone with the symptoms I have.
