I am up to my full prescribed dose of 200mg of lamotrigine (generic Lamictal, much cheaper!)
I feel mildly tranquillized. It feels nice compared to my usual agitated state.

I'm only on 100mg but I tend to react strongly to medications and get the weird side effects so my pdoc hadn't wanted me to get the rash so she titrated me up very slowly and found I was fine on a lower dose than normal. I remember the really sedating feelings wore off quickly but the episode stuff evened out, too.

I'm on 150 and I'm going to ask my new pdoc to put me up to 200.

I'm still agitated, but it's dampened at least. Not as uncomfortable as unmedicated.

2nd day, the irritability and such has virtually disappeared! I don't know if it's the lamotrigine or not, but if so, it's really helping my anxiety and mood.

I take 300 mg a day split between two doses.
I stuck at 150 for a while it helped but I still had some mood problems, nothing major. It kind of quelled the symptoms but didn't really reduce the frequency of my mood changes at that dose. In outpatient treatment (for other, non-bipolar mental health stuff) it was increased by 50 mgs. Over a few months last summer the additional 100 was added. It seems to be the perfect dosage for me. Glad to hear its working for you. It really is a good med. |

3rd day on 200mg, I feel great! Almost like I am mildly "high".
