So, I think am starting to notice patterns in my sleeping and I am thinking they are tied to hypo episodes. Does anyone experience and of the following?

I will, most of the time, fall asleep normal (sometimes, I don't and stay up reading, or just can't sleep, that's rare though). However, when I am asleep, I will be restless (according to my wife), snore more (according to my wife), wake up face down in my pillow, or have my head under my pillow.

So, I would say I might initially fall asleep okay, but my sleep isn't quality and I, more often than not, sleep in odd positions. The last one being something that I can't really attribute to something else. Not sleeping well, or being restless during sleep could be caffeine, but the sleeping in odd positions isn't something I normally would do, even if I had too much caffeine.

Just found it interesting and wondered what others experience as far as sleep symptoms (other than total sleeplessness).

Thanks,

The only thing I can say is that I notice when I'm headed to a depressive state when it starts getting harder and harder to wake up in the morning

Well, I have never been able to wake up in the morning....and have always been a bit of night owl.

But, I know I am in a depressive funk when I want to nap all the time.

Ever get a sleep study done? You may have a sleep disorder. I myself have sleep apnea. Just throwing that out there.

I seem to move around a lot in my sleep on the nights & days I have trouble sleeping, whether it's for four hours or 30 min.

Sleep...I wish I could get more than 2 nights of good sleep. I'd love to just go to bed and sleep for 3 days straight. Usually I average 4 hours and makes for very long days. It hasn't been right since my hypo episode in April.

Interesting...yeah...I sleep...maybe I fall asleep at about midnight/12:30 and wake up at 6:30ish...but I am up a number of time through out the night....to pee, whatev....I know I wake up a number of time through out the night and often wake up in odd positions, and then readjust and fall back off...

Mostly I sleep when I am exhausted...I CAN'T just go to bed at 10 and try to sleep...I will lay there until I am SOOOOO tired I can't keep my eyes open....like my body forces me to sleep...

BUT!!! I hardly ever wake up feeling rested....only when depressed and I sleep in on weekends until 11am....then I will feel rested.

But lately, I have been sleeping like crap and tossing and turning....forcing myself to put down my book. I will read until my eyes involuntarily close, put down the kindle, and lay down....only to lay there for another 20-30 mins....

Oh well.... Maybe my gaba isn't the best anti-hypo med.
