I recently got into a certain genre of music, and fell in love with it. I listened to all I could find out there, and then picked out the creme de la creme of the genre and bought about 32 songs on itunes, made a playlist, bought me some skull-candy earphones and I listen to this playlist while driving at work, or whenever I want to relax or fell good... (all the time!)

I feel high when I escape into the music.

Music is literally like a drug for me, I am hooked, and it boosts my mood very effectively.

I have certain bands that do that for me. there was a local band I listened to that seriously kept me from killing myself. I followed them for years. they kept me sane. unfortunately they broke up. I was so sad. luckily I found another band to replace them. they don't come around as often though. keep on listening. take care

I enjoy listening to music as well as making music. I've been playing saxophone and guitar since I was young. I find it calming. Sometimes it's just hard to get into it when I'm feeling down though. Glad you found some music you really enjoy!

Gotta have my music. It's so therapeutic. It's my escape

I always loved music as well. Played drums and even in a jazz band in middle school. We didn't have room for me to have a set and practice for high school. I wasn't told that. Instead, my brother graduated, out of town family came, I was talked into staying afterwards, even though we were due next morning for jazz concert, and got kicked out. I was angry my entire high school years.

Sorry to rant.

Music is a drug for me too. Within two months I spent $800 on headphones and amplifier. I then purchased over 60 albums. Can you say hypo manic? But I think it has been one of my best purchases.
