I know some of you are diagnosed with OCD as well, so I have a question for you. I've been having problems with anxiety, and my pdoc said that since my anxiety is rather obsessive, it's OCD and can be some of the hardest anxiety to treat. As a result, she said if I want it treated, then she isn't going to give me an anxiety med, but rather increase my Geodon to help combat it. Anyone have any experience treating OCD with purely AP's?

well I am no doctor but I am guessing she is increasing the Geodon to treat the obsessive thoughts, not the anxiety. reduce the thoughts and the anxiety will reduce as well. im on Geodon and have anxiety has well and my anxiety has actually got worse since being on Geodon. I don't believe there is a connection there, I am just saying Geodon has done nothing to reduce my anxiety but it is not obsessive in nature. that is why I think it is being used to treat the thoughts. I hope it works. anxiety sucks.
