I value your opinion very much and since I do, I have a question mostly for the guys but everyone please answer. If I knew how to I would form this as a poll.. In my life I live as a total vanilla to the world but really I am very kinky, my particular bend is toward bdsm. My question is are we " (bipolars)" more kinky than the general public? My personal question is chicken and egg, did the kink come first and by itself or did the bipolar lead to the kink. My T says one can feed into the other and I do not know whether to believe that or not. This is a personal question for me and I hope you will answer truthfully. Remember no one knows your real idenity please share your own experiences. Thank you for reading. Thank you for responding. I hope no one is offended by this if so I am sorry.

well I am so vanilla that I don't know what bdsm means...lol...I assume the sm is sado masochism but no idea what the bd is...but I have an idea about the kinky and bipolar.....I think it is the chicken. or would it be the egg? whichever comes second. because bipolar increases sexual behavior and high risk behavior so I think that would make bipolars more adventurous.

I think that if you're kinky you're kinky, and if you happen to be BP too, well then there will definitly be times where it feeds the kink.

But in my experience from relating to others, BP definitly does not equal kinky.

I'm a kinky BP'er, and not ashamed of it
But in the very same breath, I know some kinky neurotypicals too...

I get hypersexual when i'm hypomanic or mixed. But i like kink regardless of my mood. I like intensity, so anything that amps things up i'm into. I think it might have to do with my bipolar, but it might just be my personality. Either way, it's pretty fun

I have always wondered this myself.. I'm not really in the right place to talk about it at this right now but am probably going to consider writing a post on it in future.. I have been thinking for a long time about the connections between mental health and BDSM, and have lots of questions and oppinions regarding it...
It used to be thought being into BDSM was a disorder in itself and I kind of sway towards believing that..
Will now read the link, elevatedsoul posted

When Im manic Im all about kink, but I think its my inner Diva talking. There are things I want to try but not sure if hubby would be for it. Im just starting to open up to him on some of the stuff I want to try. Its really hard because we have teenagers and a small house. Its bad enough that they hear us most of the time.

I think its ok to find your inner kink. You might find you really like it.
