I overspent on my vacation. I just started spending significant monies for no reason, like I had no financial care in the world. This means I only have $1500 left in my bank account. This is for emergencies. I need new shocks on the car. What to do?

I do not think this is mania. My sleep is normal. I have not had any intrusive thoughts, but I am constantly mulling about my mother and her recent delusions related to her dementia. The TV now talks to her by saying her name.and tells her that I am in the hospital. She has become physically abusive. Her caregiver has her hands full. My stomach is in knots right now as I am beginning to feel overwhelmed. I am not even home yet. I do not want to go back home yet.

This is not a good ending to a nice trip!

It's comen to overspend on trips. If your not watching every penny you can spend thousands extra. I'm sorry about your mom. Hoq much are the shocks going to cost?

My mom also became physically and verbally abusive in the early stages of dementia. The docs put her on Seroquel which really calmed her down. She's doing really well...doesn't seemed drugged or anything, just calmer.

i agree I think it's pretty normal to overspend on trips. As for your concerns about going back home, is there anyway you can get some time to yourself and have someone come in a couple of days a week to give you a break. I know how hard it is to deal with someone in your Mother's condition. It's ALWAYS harder on the caregiver.
