Hi guys! I was just wondering what you felt or experienced when your meds for got to a high enough dose where it started working.

I'm type ii I think??? With a large helping of anxiety. I'm currently on Lamictal and I keep thinking it's finally working but then it ends up being hypomania I know we have different experiences but I was just wondering what it felt like for everyone! Maybe I can get some kind of an idea of what to look forward to

Hi Robo,

Cant say I'm familiair with Lamictal, but I've found it helpful for me and my Pdoc to keep a mood chart while Im starting new medications. You can get them for android etc and the idea is they chart your anxiety, depression and elevated moods, as well as what dosage of medication you are on.

It might not feel like it but from charting my meds when changing, you can look back over the weeks and see where you are at. Sometimes its easy to base how you think the meds are going on how you are feeling on a particular day. And if your having a good day when you see your pdoc they dont get to see the real picture either. Might be worth considering.

Hope your feeling better soon and your meds settle down for you. hugs

I am finally on a dose of lithium that is working in a way for me. I mean I don't have the highs and lows for the moment but I also feel like my emotions are just kind of numb. I would not trade it because this like the first time in years that I do not want to die I can't even remember how many time in the past how I tried to kill myself and I have had daily suicidal thoughts for many years. I do at times miss my manic episodes but the crash was to hard on me and considering for like the last three years I was rapid cycling. I wish you the best op.
