HEy guys,

it's my 20th day on Abilify and my 3rd day of my period. From yesterday afternoon I'm not feeling well. I hardly had any problems with PMS, now, when in my period, I'm having anxiety and crying...and just nervous. Sleep is bad, eating as well. I HOPE it's period. I can't be getting worse? If I was GREAT just 2 days ago.

Hopefuly it'll pass and it's just hormones. PLEASE need some positive feedback from you
Hugs from:

I hope you feel better soon . Hopefully it's a hormonal thing that will soon pass.

Some periods are worse then normal. Take some motrin, grab a book or channel controller, comfy pillows, a glass of water, and chill. Just chill. Dont worry about house work or anything else. Just relax and chill

It could be a bad cycle...I notice that I have about 4 bad periods where I get easily irritable with crying spells etc. That being said it could be that you are having a bad cycle or the abilify is not working properly. This is a good topic to bring up cause as bp women it's hard to tell if there are bp symptoms or simply just our cycles. I understand why you are wondering which one it is. If I were you, I'd track yr moods for the rest of yr cycle...then when it's over track it a few days more. That way you'll know which one it is. Given all this I would still make an appt with yr pdoc.just in case it is the abilify reacting negatively. It can take a few weeks to know.if a new med is working for us or against us. A common side effect of meds that don't jive with our body is anxiety and extreme emotions as well as irritability. It's worth looking into. Good luck.

Hormones will really screw with you sometimes. It's not always about the BP. Like a previous poster said, take Motrin and try to relax; your period will be over soon and you'll more than likely be OK.
