Could someone help me understand this medication? I feel like I have huge anxiety if I miss a dose or try to come down on my dosage. I am only on 1 mg and it is supposed to help with anxiety. Has anyone had similar experiences on this drug?d

I take this but for my delusions. I don't get anxious if I miss a dose but it could be because it's targeting your anxiety. When my gf misses one of her anxiety pills she always feels more anxious. She said her doctor told her it's because the level of the drug in her system isn't consistent and as the levels lower her anxiety rises. She's not on risperidone but I would imagine it could probably be along the same lines.

Hello alab,

Resperidone is an anti-psychotic, if you want to come off it, you need to do it slowly and taper it down gradually over a period of months. Please check with your doctor.

This has been a lifesaver for me. Every day at 9 am and 9 pm, my phone alarm goes off and I take my meds. No forgetting, no excuses. I've done much better since I started the strict routine.

Have you gained weight or had memory problems? Felt tired or lethargic? Just trying to figure out what is med and what is mood.

I've gained a little weight but not much, nothing too ridiculous. And my memory does suck really bad but I don't know if it is because of the risperidone or one of my other meds. All I know is that my memory used to be so good and now it's crap and it's kind of annoying. When I first started taking it I do remember feeling very tired and lethargic but as my body got used to the med I started getting my energy back and I don't even notice it at all anymore.
