Hi, I'm male and almost 31. Although I most strongly identify with my BPD, I'm also Bipolar type 2 (in addition to GAD and MDD). So, I've mostly been posting on the BPD forum until now, but want to meet some cool new folks here and check this forum out too !

I'm high functioning in certain areas (career, self-care, hobbies), and completely dysfunctional in others (social). You don't want to be in my shoes, trust me.

Do say hello and tell me a bit about yourself !

You'll be hearing more from me on this forum ... I assure you !

Hello, lil, I'm kind of new here, too. Thanks for introducing yourself! I'm more than twice your age, dx bipolar II. Was stable on meds since January 2014, but crashing the last month and this month -- up and down. I'm creative. I just learned to crochet, and made myself a vest. That's the greatest thing that's happened lately. I also draw with charcoal, and play the mandolin. The crochet and knitting are especially helpful when I'm down. What do you do for fun?

No one wants to be any of us. Trust me ... but anyway we all got our own story I sure don't want to say mine is better or worse.... I'm mmd gad sad and bipolar nos/2 ... i don't call it all that though. Just call it all bipolar because essentially that's what all those can be
. I tend to try not to over diagnose myself... welcome to the forum! I'm fairly new myself

Hi, it's nice to meet you ! Interesting hobbies ... very cool.

I lift weights and swim for fun. I also make some electronic music (novice level), and am learning to speak German.

Hello there, I just recently joined as well. Found out last week I have BP I and joined here a couple days later. Struggled with PTSD and MDD for years before that, though I guess I was always struggling with BP, but just didn't know it. I can relate to your high-functioning vs. dysfunctional perspective, though my high-functioning areas would be school and work, and dysfunctional social and hobbies. I try to keep up my main hobbies, photography and playing piano, but that doesn't always happen during my depressive episodes. Sometimes playing the piano when depressed just causes me to start weeping uncontrollably, as if making music is just too intense. Kind of a hindrance to practicing, lol. Well anyway, welcome to the forum!
