Hello everyone It's been a while since I have been here... I spent a week in the hospital recently, my choice, trying to get my meds figured out so my depression would lift. I teach and will be heading back to school soon - I am nervous because I want to have good energy. I see my doc on Thursday and am looking for advice on how to just live day by day. Thanks

I teach too. I spent half the summer in an IOP trying to get my depression under control so I can go back clear headed as well. I think I've got it figured out for the most part. I'm still nervous as I always seem to be at the beginning of a new year.

Have you done any mindfulness training? If you look up mindfulness meditations on YouTube they may be useful in helping you live more in the moment.

Good luck in the new school year!

Ps - I was hospitalized last year for a bad mixed episode right before school started - like I missed the first week of pre service training. So I know what it's like to go back fresh off a hospitalization. It's not easy but not impossible either!
