Hey All,

I just finished an appt with my doctor and was wondering if anyone else suffers from sleep apnea? If so, how much do they stress the importance of using it? And do you feel any difference when you use it vs. not using it?

I'm assuming you're talking about CPAP?

I didn't tolerate it. I tried for four months, and I never got used to it. I'm claustrophobic anyway and wearing the mask didn't help matters much. I couldn't handle the nasal one either. So I gave it up and never have gone back to using it.

Honestly, I didn't really see or feel a difference between using CPAP and not using it. I think I maybe lost about 10 lbs but otherwise I don't think it had any real effect. Your mileage may very.

I sleep with a full face mask nightly which helps greatly with energy and the mask is comfortable.

i use a machine and am so used to it I can not sleep without it. It allows me to sleep all night and prevents waking every two hours or so. My pdoc doesn't even know I have one,, but sleep is very important so I plan to always use it...

I've never been diagnosed but I snore so bad my husband swears I have apnea. Although I don't know how he can hear me through his snoring.
