Bipolar is just weird!!
It amazes me how I view myself physically, when I'm down, my face is ugly, lifeless, and scary almost. When I'm up, my eyes sparkle, I'm smiley, and beautiful. Does anyone else do this! |

Definitely, Honeydew. And what's more other people notice it too. Both my appearance and tone of voice.

I always have self image problems, yet it is magnified greatly when I'm down. When I'm feeling great and manic, I am selfie queen, dress better, spend more time with make up and hair.... It's bizarre. But what isn't in this BP world?

That's it. Other people tell me I look like two different people.
As far as I know, I don't have multiple personalities, I just have extreme moods that impact my appearance.

I think there are two things that independently contribute to those differences.
1. Self-care and grooming, choice of colors of clothing - brighter and livelier when not depressed. 2. the mood is visible via the facial expressions, gait, and posture. |

Oh yeah.
And like Mountainbard said, people notice. For sure. A particular standout was a hard fast fall between one night and the next. A friend of ex's was utterly staggered at the magnitude of difference and asked him, "WTH??!!" He simply couldn't believe it. |
