Bipolar is just weird!!

It amazes me how I view myself physically, when I'm down, my face is ugly, lifeless, and scary almost. When I'm up, my eyes sparkle, I'm smiley, and beautiful.
Does anyone else do this!
Hugs from:
Lemon Curd
Thanks for this!

Definitely, Honeydew. And what's more other people notice it too. Both my appearance and tone of voice.

I always have self image problems, yet it is magnified greatly when I'm down. When I'm feeling great and manic, I am selfie queen, dress better, spend more time with make up and hair.... It's bizarre. But what isn't in this BP world?

That's it. Other people tell me I look like two different people.

As far as I know, I don't have multiple personalities, I just have extreme moods that impact my appearance.

I think there are two things that independently contribute to those differences.

1. Self-care and grooming, choice of colors of clothing - brighter and livelier when not depressed.

2. the mood is visible via the facial expressions, gait, and posture.

Oh yeah.
And like Mountainbard said, people notice. For sure. A particular standout was a hard fast fall between one night and the next. A friend of ex's was utterly staggered at the magnitude of difference and asked him, "WTH??!!" He simply couldn't believe it.
