I started Lamictal a couple of weeks ago and have been having some scary symptoms with it. My brain was racing out of control, I felt like a surge was running through my body where I couldn't sit still, I was very agitated. Is this hypomania? It is scaring the heck out of me. I have felt so off since stopping the SSRIs.

Sounds like your brain is adjusting to the medication(s) .. Have you let your Pdoc know whats going on ?

There could be a number of things going on, either medication related or brain chemistry related.

As mentioned, best you see a professional mental health professional for a full screening. They would need to ask you a lot more questions to get to the bottom of this.

Be well.

Thanks ladies. You know how P doc conversations go. Once every 2 weeks and they don't say too much but hang in there!
