It's like I have no shame, I'm not embarrassed, I don't really recognize myself.

What is the most shameless thing you have done? Then do you still feel no shame after thinking about it?

I know manic for me means not caring what other people think, feeling above and beyond the criticism of others. The shame comes when I come back down, days weeks or even months later during the "cleanup" period where I and others have to repair the damage I have caused. Perhaps you are experiencing something similar?

Oh yeah! LOL Many times. I have no shame and can talk about things that are really embarrassing to other people without batting an eyelid, and then I suddenly realise the people I'm talking to are hideously embarrassed. The best is when I get together with this great kid I mentor - I say kid, but he's almost 30 now. He has Aspergers and we share a very similar sense of humour and the same lack of embarrassment. Just recently he introduced me to his new girlfriend and we apparently horrified her by launching into a conversation about testicles and goat-sex (I don't recall how the topic came up). I still can't forget the look on her face.

i do it all the time

just blunt honest .......say what u think when u think it ..........the only advice i can offer u is to teach yourself to shut up / curve it

1 if u do not have anything nice to say just do not say it
2 get yourself in the habit of saying please and thank u ........my parents got me set on sir and ma'am
3 keep a friend of family member that knows u around to stop u from talking (foot in mouth )
4 sooner or later u will mess up and something will happen keep your wits do not over react .........i keep the excuse i am going outside for a smoke it has saved me more times then i can count .....if u do not smoke then come up with a fall back excuse to get u away from the ppl

I used to until my treatment plan gave me balance. Now, I have to contend with those I've offended.
