I'm always paranoid. Especially at night. I'm so scared about a home invasion; etc. that I can never sleep. I was recently put on Latuda and I start it tomorrow. I can't take SSRI's or SNRI's as they make me manic. I take lamictal as a mood stabilizer. Abilify just put me into a mixed state so my combo as of tomorrow will be lamictal and latuda. Does anyone have any luck with this combo? Or advise on how to deal with paranoia?

Thanks for reading...

I know there are quite a few meds out there that members are currently using - I'm pretty sure you'll get advice.

I take Valium. I wouldn't really recommend it. I've been on it for a year and think I'm addicted.

Be well.

I'm glad I'm not alone - it is hard to deal with - I'm so sick of being paranoid and up all night because I'm so fearful of something bad happening

For what it's worth I'm on lamictal latuda combo with seroquel at night. It's been great. I no longer have mass paranoia that was constant all the time especially at work. I've went to a new department where it's a smaller group of people which has helped a lot but the meds have helped greatly. I no longer bug out about constantly thinking about people talking about me etc. been on lamictal for two years and just added latuda 2 months ago. This is the most stable I've been since I can remember. I'm quicker on my toes now and the focus has been much better. Some of that can be contributed to getting off klonopins. Some people latuda doesn't work well though so it's not for everyone. Going off my experience is say give it a shot. Not cheap though latuda 220 a month. Ouch. But it's worth it for me to have a bit of what I consider a normal life

I'm on the lamctal/lauda combo too and it has worked great for me. Helped my paranoia with others "seeing" me and being afraid to leave my apartment.

I am not paranoid, but for basic anxiety, Ativan did nothing and Klonopin was at least a little helpful. So maybe try another benzo? Apparently, they are not all created equal.

Of course, benzos can cause dependency and may not be a good long-term solution, but just for now.
