Does anyone else the feeling that all over your brain it is sticking pins into the inside of your head. I get this moreso when i am irritable a pdoc said it was med related but i have had it since i was at least 8 years old. It just makes the irritability worse because most MH people here don't know what i am talking about and nothing (apparently ) can be done.

So sorry you have that feeling. Not sure I ever felt that way. Had head spinning so much I hit my head with my fists to try and stop the spinning. Did not work. Just caused pain and more agitation. I feel there are times I just can't seem to feel stable and at peace no matter what I do. Not sure that helps. Be safe

When I am in heading up the hypo/manic scale I get an intense grinding sound to my racing mind, annoying as hell.

I hope BP puts its pins down and leaves your brain alone.

I look forward to seeing other responses to this.

Yessss. I have gotten horrific pins and needle feeling in my head. It has worsened a lot if I am wheaning on or off medication. It feels like electrical misfiring almost.
Have you had any other symptoms with it?

I feel like I have ground glass coursing through my veins. Not just in my head but all over. It's quite unpleasant. Happens when I have extreme irritability.

I feel something that I refer to as brain zaps because I don't really know how else to describe them.

The only time I've noticed them is when my antidepressants are being decreased in dosage.

Weird feeling.

Just extremely irritable but now I feel incredibly calm with loads of energy and my house is sparkling and my sketchbook is starting to fill up. I think I may be hypomanic. I got that zapping feelng when stating and stopping zyprexa.

This pins things happens with irritability but I also get that feeling of something crawling under my skin with it as well. Usually signals a mixed episode.

Well on the positive if this is a precursor to a mixed episode you may be able to get earlier intervention? Just a thought because I don't know what your time frame is between the sensation and the commencement of your episode.
