I have made a major decision and will be putting it into action tomorrow morning. It is a big step toward my health. I have support from my family and my T, and although I am going to be making a major step toward my health, I risk losing a good friend over it, and run the slight risk of my ex opening up a custody battle again.

Tomorrow morning I will be speaking to my boss and leaving my job. I may have to work for a week or two, but I am going to make a case for leaving right away.

I am so nervous.

I hope you have all the positive and don't have to loose a friend or have other issues.

I wish I didn't even have to go into the office to tell my boss, but I think it is only fair. I am afraid of all the whispering that will be going on after everyone else finds out I am leaving. I have only worked there for 4.5 months.

when u go in just do not burn the bridge like i would

stay polite and nice ........as for what ppl say ......u have no control over that ppl will make up something if it is juicy enough it will pass around .......your best bet is to make a statement in public telling them what and why so they know the reasons after that it is no longer your problem it is theirs

good luck ...........and rem pulling the fire alarm is a crime ......so is dumping a pot of coffee on the bosses computer

Definitely not going to burn bridges because I am going to ask for some contract writing work. It could bring in a few hundred $$ now and then.

Way to go BNLsMOM! Ironically, i am doing the same tomorrow. I cant keep up the juggle and keep myself stable/healthy. Jobs and jobs can come and go, but health should always come first, imo.

Good luck. You'll be fine. Just think about how much better you'll feel once you've got it done and over with. Have a nice treat planned for after you come out of the office and focus on that. You are doing the right thing by going in and telling your boss face-to-face, so remember that. You haven't taken the easy way out - it shows you have guts and integrity. Speaking as a boss, I always respect people who come in and resign in person because in my experience, a surprisingly large number of people don't do that. Good luck!

Let 'em whisper. Just think... In 5 years, their whispers won't matter and they wont even think of this day. You got this bnlsmom.

I was going to go in and put in my 2 week notice today. Instead, i sit here in fmla feeling like a sack.

take the co workers out for a beer and clear it up ......buy one round for them all

if u leave it up to them to come to u to get answers that will not happen gossip is more fun on a boring day

if u do not want the gossip and all that u need to set the record strait or u can have fun with it and tell them something crazy to see if they believe it (going in for a sex change op............fell in love with a 90 year old sugar daddy and no longer need the work .....u know something crazy and fun )

Let the coworkers whisper, I recon they do that when anyone leaves. None of their business anyway and by next month they would have forgotten what they were whispering about in the first place.

Glad it went well with your boss.

Be well and be positive.
