Hi I was a member on this forum two years ago. I came back on because I now am going through issues. I am a mom now and I was carrying my daughter while being on Lamictal 200mg. The birth was a success with no cleft lip or and issues. She is just beautiful. I however now am all mess up because of the hormones change.
Now I seem to be going through postpartum 10 months so far and now that the season are changing I am getting hit with blues. And I am feeling disconnected to the world around me. Like I am not connecting well with co workers. And at work I am just not doing really well at all. So my doctor gave me 250mg in August. Its November I just started on my first dose of wellbutrin. I was against it at first, but when I read about self loathing which I do a lot now that I am unbalanced, I decided I want to give it a try. I started today and around the afternoon I got so sick to my stomach. I feel better now but I hope this doesnt happen again. I have to go to work Monday and I cant be sick like this during work hours. I started trying this during the weekend because I wanted to see what would happen to me. I am very sensitive to medications, even though it takes two weeks for something to work it takes me a day to feel the side effects.

It always takes your body a little time to adjust to taking a new medication. Hopefully by Monday the side effects will not be as bad and you will have no trouble working.

Hello yellowfever, welcome. I hope you have some good local support for your postpartum period - playgroups, family support with baby sitting, etc. I hope you find a med combo that is right for you. It is very challenging to parent and struggle with mood issues. I hear you on trying new things on the weekend, being very sensitive to meds, etc. Keep us posted on your journey.

You're still adjusting from a number of changes - hormones, new baby, new meds, re-entering work etc etc.

Take it easy wih one step at a time.

Glad you've come back here for support.

You deserve it.

its like 5:30 am in the morning. I went to bed at 11. I had very bad nausea all day long yesterday that I hardly drank any water. I am sipping some water now because I am very concerned about hydration. Also when I started wellbutrin my back where my kidneys are was hurting and my guts was making me feel like ill on and off. I felt like throwing up for hours.

Is this a red flag? I check my temperature for fever and there is no fever. Yesterday I had an IBS attack that lasted for 3 hours. I was not sure if I could use the bentyl or not. Pharmacist said I could once in a while not everyday though. The sight of food makes me what to throw up as well.

I pray for a miracle at this rate this is not fun at all I am not going to church today because of this. Its painful.

That sounds like some tough side-effects to manage yellowfever, I hope they ease really soon for you. Do you have much support to help you through this? We are here for you but I would hope you have someone in real life who can be with you through this. Take care.

I have a husband and my mom in Washington state. She is praying for me and that i can overcome these nasty side effects. I have always been sensitive to everything. I wish i wasnt sensitive. I want to be tough and feel no side effects but I guess I can not get what I want. I just want to be functional. That is all I have ever wanted. I want to be a better mom and preschool teacher assistant. Organizer as well. I am poorly organized and cannot focus to save my life. I want to live a better life.

I wonder if I am allowed to take klonopin while im on this wellbutrin.

This is day two for.

Have you asked your pdoc about taking Klonopin? Best to check with them. I am taking it (as Clonazepam) with lots of meds and have had no problem. It is addictive so I have to be careful. Glad you have support. The side effects should pass soon. If not you should again go back to your pdoc.

i went to a pharmacist who told me I can take the klonopin with my medicine. I am relieved
Thanks for the support everyone. Now if I can only not feel nauseated I would be a happy camper.
