Recently I had my dosage increased 100mg to 400mg. I take it all at once in the morning. I now have been experiencing clumsiness, dizziness, and problems with coordination. I am also a little nauseated. Has anyone experienced these side effects? Did these side effects subside in time?

When I took a generic one, I was quite ill.
I am lactose intolerant, sometimes it is used as a filler in the generic versions

I did get incredible thirst. I could not get enough to drink

I did, however i was also placed on seroquil, and some other meds at the same time, so i don't know which ones were doing what. But, now i'm just back to my old clumsy self, and not a stumbling, unsteady self. lol...
The biggest thing with any dose changes with Lamictal is to watch for any type of rashes that may develope. Those can be serious if caused by the med.
If you continue having troubles tho, I would call your pdoc and ask him/her if it's something you should be worried about, or if it will pass soon.. He/she might be able to lower it, and do a slower tapering upwards. 100 to 400 is quite a jump (i think), cause i was on 25, then 50, then 100, now 150.

I've never had any side effects the last ten years and I've been on all sorts of doses. Dr. even pushed it to 600 mg (uncommon dose) and I did have a side effect of being cross-eyed for several hrs. which was very freaky. Lamictal has never helped me with any symptoms.

I meant I was taking 300mg and my dose has been increased to 400mg. I will try to take it as two separate doses with at least 9 hours between them. Then I will take it for the rest of the week to see what happens. Hopefully my adverse reaction to the dose change will be temporary.

My dose recently went up from 300 to 400 mg, too. And yes, at first I noticed I was a little klutzier than usual (and I'm not a graceful person to start with) and had more trouble finding words. That seems to have leveled off though now that I've been on the higher dose for a few weeks. I take the Lamictal in divided doses, once in the AM and the other at bedtime, so that might help you avoid the side effects.

At first it gave me a bit of a zoned out feeling.

Also disrupted my sleep if I took it at night.

Take it at 4pm.

So far apart from that no side effects really.
