Hey! Just looking for feedback. I'm 21 & also a Sagittarius & free spirit.. But, I always want to move and see what else is out there in the world. I have this fantasy of finding my "true love" and everything being okay.
Just started therapy again and my therapist diagnosed me with bipolar. Not sure about this. After all I feel I'm just a person like anyone else. .
Does anyone else feel this way? Do you feel lost or move a lot? It's gotten to the point for me where I am homeless and everywhere just looks like a place and nowhere really feels like home. My best friend is my puppy. Not too many meaningful connections with people really..
Can anyone relate? Ever been homeless or lost or restlessly moving and searching?

Thanks (:

I suffered from this, especially in my youth. (Your age !) I lived in 4 states in 1 year when I was 27-homeless in two of them. I think I was trying to run away from myself, good luck if that's your situation. With all that said, some of my favorite time in life were those years! Be safe, no matter what you decide.

I can relate to all of what you said about yourself. I'm a free spirit, I used to move ever year, a few times even twice in a year. Luckily I was only homeless for one night, in between moving from a hotel to an income-based apartment. But it seems like I always "lucked out" and pulled through and managed to enjoy myself.

Just try to enjoy the life you're living, whatever it is, regardless of the "norm."

I moved around a lot in my early thirties after my life imploded -- got divorced and stopped working. It was very disruptive. I was homeless for six weeks. Life is impossible when you're homeless. It seemed it would never stop but i am now happy to say i have been in the same home for almost ten years! [I'm 48 now.]

It's good you have a puppy. I have a dog, too. She is good company. I'm currently sick of people and am taking a break from them. My dog is my best friend.

Hi SqrqhJean

I got married when I was 20 (it was a mistake!). For the eight years we were together, we moved once or twice a year. (Then we figured out it wasn't the place that was wrong, it was us! But that's another story...)

You are young. It's natural to want to 'see what's out there', including new places. I would say though that everywhere looks like just a place until you invest something of yourself into it. Only then will it begin to feel like home.

I'm always searching.

Wish I could know what I'm searching for because then I'd probably know when I've got it.

I've moved around a lot in my life. It wasn't always as a manifestation of searching for something though. It was often just circumstantial.

Ever been homeless or lost or restlessly moving and searching? Until I got help I changed living arrangements every two months or so. My last place because we get housing assistance we stayed there (moved inside) 6 years while trying to "fix" ourselves; That didn't work. at least a third+ of my adult life I've been homeless. For the first time ever I feel like this is home. I'm not bothered by stay in the house on for a day or two

I feel the same way but fortunately I have an amazing wife that keeps me from losing my cool and hopping in the car to another state. It's key to find someone to talk with about these issues other than your therapist. Someone who you spend a more signification amount of time with.

I sure hope I am settled down now. Had to sell my house this year and move after my divorce but I would say I moved 30+ times since starting college because I thought it would fix things to have a new place. I am 40 now.

I wonder what it is specifically that makes bipolar people so restless like that?

I've definitely been the same. I currently have no job and am back at my parents.

I've moved out and been on my own for years, but had to move back twice now.

I would really love to break the cycle of this bipolar behavior. Is it possible even?

I have been homeless a few times, and moved around quite a bit, but nothing extreme. I do get urges to leave though, when manic I feel trapped and am desperate to explore the world, I think I have some romantic view of living in nature and that's what I'm meant to do.

When depressed and even afterwards, things get so ontop of me and life is so overwhelming it seems to difficult to fix and improve things, and that starting again somewhere else would be easier.

I spent age 20 - 26 hitchhiking and homeless. A hobo, really. I knew no one longer than the length of a ride. I slept in fields and in snow. I usually could find some short term work in winter and a roof, but as soon as the snow melted I was wandering again. I had no where to go, no where to be, just lost and alone on the back roads of North America. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I don't mind 2 years of it, that seems like an adventure, but 6 years was just because I didn't know how to take care of myself and was really messed up.

Hey and omg yes. I'm Sagittarius as well. God my worst year I moved 7 times. Also got in a new relationship straight out of one and got pregnant too. My kids have kept me grounded but my desire to move hasn't left. I was homeless for a very short period before taking my cheating ex back, just to have a place to stay. I wouldn't blame my MI on being homeless with that although I was sort of out of control at the one place I was staying.

It's funny because I've always been a self-proclaimed creature of habit. I guess I can just find new habits and adjust quickly to them
