Hi everyone,
So over the course of the last 2 days, the following symptoms have appeared and are still present: visual hallucinations of steam, faces made of shadow, objects appear to be vibrating unnaturally fast, shimmery things moving around the room, auditory hallucinations of music that I can't quite make out the lyrics to but is definitely big band/swing, increasingly hard to contain psychomotor agitation, panic-like anxiety (bit the inside of my lips to shreds, and my fingernails are actually gone), and some minor irritability. I don't actually notice any kind of mood shift, though. Does anyone have any insight because I'm becoming slightly unsettled. No emergency, though, that I'm aware of by the way. Current meds are Lithium 600mg bid, Adderall 20mg bid and I have PRN Ativan I don't take too often anymore. Thanks! |

When do you see your pdoc again?
I'm sorry I'm not familiar with all your meds. When I go through experiences I usu have to increase my antipsychotics. I know you're not feeling as if there is a shift in mood but I do think your meds need tweaking by your mental health provider. try get that appointment soon as possible. Look after yourself. |

It would be good for you to meet with yr pdoc. You have some serious symptoms going on. I'm wondering why yr not on an ap. I'm not a pdoc but it sounds like another med change is in order

I have had the exact same thing since I was 7 years old. It went away when I started taking Risperdal so you might want to give an antipsychotic a try. But the music without voices or lyrics is what I also experience and then the panic attacks. I can feel it start coming on a half hour or so before it gets really bad. If you read a book out loud or watch tv it really helps. Hope things get better. But I have the exact same thing. Try an antipsychotic or coping mechanism.

I would recommend calling your pdoc an antipsychotic would probably make a worlds difference.

I would have similar symptoms too, but my Zyprexa takes care of them most of the time. Zyprexa has been very effective for me, just have to put up with weight gain and drowsiness. For the times when I am really on edge Rivotril helps too.

Hey, everyone, wanted to say thanks a BUNCH. Today out of the blue I started rapid cycling, like I'm talking Ultradian Cycling) and it freaked me out. Called the doc, she is bolusing me on benzo's tonight and I see her first thing in the morning. I am in no position to be able to miss work for being in the hospital, since my new apartment is counting on it, and so I would literally take any steps necessary to prevent this from going full-blown disaster. Surprisingly I'm feeling fine at the moment. Just haven't been able to sit still for three days. haha. Again, thank you all.
