YES! Sometimes I'll just see people being happy and it makes me cry. Or seeing those ASPCA animal abuse commercials. Or singing praise songs at church and the words affect me. Or if anything goes wrong or someone yells at me (I could go on...). It seems just about anything can make me cry at the drop of a hat. My doc is tweaking my meds in an attempt to stop this, and has put me on Pristiq. This has helped, but I still get teary eyed quite often. However, it is better than completely breaking down. Some days I don't know how I make it through work. I just work hard at trying to hide it. So far it has worked, except once my boss caught me crying. He was very supportive, though. He knows that I am separated from my spouse and going through a tough time.

But short answer, oh yeah I'm emotional! What makes you emotional?

Me too. I can tear over most anything. Genuine touching moments causes my chest to hurt. I feel too sensitive at times. Even movies and TV drama messes with my head. Feel good stories in the news can make me teary eyed also. It makes me feel alive at least.

I tear up for happy ending as well as sad stories. Many people are like this without having BP. Just part of being a caring, sensitive human.

Bipolar is a mood disorder, So stands to reason that moods can influence emotions which can cause the need for extra boxes of tissues. Sucks at times.

Outside of a mood episode I'm pretty nil on the emotional stuff, but not displaying emotion was really big in our house when I was growing up.
