I read about peeps going off med and do fine for awhile. The times that I went off meds my bipolar was crazy out of control and I couldn't function. Anyone else?

Eventually, I spin out of control. Usually several weeks shift into Hypo....quickly followed by full mania, being committed and remedicated, rinse and repeat.

For me it is pure depression
Crying for hours because a light-bulb was burnt out

So painful

Mine was horrid directly after, but I evened out and actually went into a 6 month remission once my brain adjusted to not having extra chemical supplies.

How long did it take to even out? Weeks? Days?

I always couldn't make it a day.

I wish!! My moods were out of wack for three months... Suicidal, hyoo, baseline daily.

Thank God I was unemployed at the time, because I probably would've run back to my pdoc

Time frame is different for everyone tho, depends on the meds, dosage, the length of time rxd, and metabolism...
