I have recently increased my dose to 200 mg a day. I take this in the morning. Also recently I have a little balance problem. More importantly, I am having problems speaking, coming up with the right words. I also have problems pronouncing some words.

Has anyone experienced this with Seroquel? Did it come to pass?

By the way, I have also stopped taking Olanzapine a couple days ago.

I take 400mg of Seroquel at night. Are you on Seroquel ER? The reason I am asking is Seroquel is sedative so with some of these issues it might be because the Seroquel is slowing your mind down?

I was taking the maximum dose of Seroquel for a long time when I was younger. I did notice some side effects like you described at first, but for me they did go away as my body got used to the medication.

I had major problems taking Seroquel; I actually hallucinated on the medication. Don't doubt your instincts about what the medication is doing to you - call your pharmacist and your doc and discuss it with them.

I take 300mg of Seroquel at night for sleep. It took months to get used to it and not have the fog in the morning. I have not noticed any cognitive function issues. Now when I was on Topamax I had lots of problems.

Yesterday was the first day being completely off of Topamax. Worst cognitive issues I've ever had. I lost my photographic memory, focus, everything had slowed down. It took a month to ween off of, but everything is back. Sorry to get off subject.

New here, not an MD or pharmacist. Can you take the Seroquel at night? I did well on nighttime seroquel as it granted regular uninterrupted sleep and sleep deprivation could send me into mania. I had to stop taking seroquel as it conflicted with a medication that I must now take for heart disease. Your problems could also conceivably be related to the withdrawal from olanzapine and might pass.

I was dx just a few weeks ago pdoc rx'd sereqoel and I was in a total fog. It totally brought me out of the hypo mania i was experiencing but the people at work thought I was drunk, i was scared because I work in health care and could hurt somebody. Today the 2nd day off of it it the best day I have had. miss the sleep though.

I was a complete snowed under to Zombieland... It was the best sleep this insomniac has ever had, my brain slowed way down that was a very strange feel as my mind has always been going a billion mph , But I can't accept zombie land. I also was not going to gain weight and have a constant hunger where my sofa looks tasty.

I was unable to spell even simple words or type a readable sentence. Not acceptable to me.

Its all about what you will and will not tolerate from a medication.

I hope you find a medication that works for you with out side effects that are just not acceptable.

I was on 900 mg XR and eventually zombified. Couldnt think or function more than a low level fat bogan. Took myself off it and went hypomanic for 6 months... so dont just drop it - talk to your pdoc. But yes there is cognitive problems associated with it.
