I have moved to a new area and made an appointment with a new pyschiatrists and I scheduled my car to be done at the same time. I didn't remember the pyschiatrists apt. They were extremely rude and snobby like I had committed a crime. Some days are just harder than others. I felt like a child being scolded the way the secretary treated me. It was like I did it on purpose...God forbid you make a mistake with someone and they wouldn't even think about rescheduling. My feelings were hurt but then I realized it was going to be a good fit if their that anul about scheduling. So I am still looking for a pyschiatrist in my area. Wish me luck Snubbed

They don't get paid for no shows. They could've got a paying client in instead if you missed right then and there. They shouldn't be rude though, it is still a business. My pdoc has my credit card number and if I no showed, they still get paid! Lol. So I never miss. They should give a confirmation or reminder call also. Forget them rude people and good luck on the search.

Sorry you had that experience. It must have been tough. I wish you all the best in finding a good pdoc asap. Do you have support in the interim? Like a T or good fiend?

I absolutely hate being talked down to. I'm sorry you were treated that way when all you want is to feel better.

Maybe only the secretary was rude. Maybe the Pdoc is different. I had a great doc with a rude nurse but I rarely had to deal with the nurse. I mentioned it to the doc once, and he said he knew she was unpleasant but it would be a zoo without her.

I try to shirk things like that as it wasn't meant to be, and something better will come. Around here, if you take your bottles to a regular Dr or NP, they will write scripts for you.

Take good care of you.
