Last night I tried to goto sleep, but I just layed there and my mind was racing in the back ground so much that I felt like I didn't get much sleep. I just tried taking a nap, and the same thing happened.

The only thing that's different is that I raised my Lamotrigine to 400mg from 350mg a few days ago. Can this cause such symptoms?

I was on 400mg years ago until I had this bright idea that I wasn't bipolar and quit taking it. I didn't have this situation back then. I've finally reached that dosage again due to that I was cycling again.

Can it be the Lamotrigine? Anybody?

Apparently Lamictal can cause symptoms of hypomania. It can also cause insomnia. You might want to tell your doctor, especially if something similar happened at the same dosage years ago.

Cymbalta, 60mg -- for the depression.
Latuda, 40mg -- for the paranoia (delusional type).
Adderall, 40mg XR & 5 mg reg -- for the ADD.
Xanax, .5 mg as needed -- for the anxiety.
Topamax, 50mg -- still figuring this one out.

MDD, but possibly have some form of Bipolar Disorder. Then again, I could be paranoid . . .

Well, at least I still have my sense of humor.

Omg that sounds like me but for the past month, it's horrible! I will take my prescribed nights meds, nyquil, pm's and maybe get 2 hours sleep, awake from 1am till 5 am then fall back to sleep till maybe 7 am. I have tried hit relaxing baths, body scans, relaxing music, but nothing helps. I can't take naps no matter how exhausted I am. It is really taking a toll on my depression and mood. I tried to admit myself into the hospital, long story but guy told me to go eat and go home come back another day. I looked at him like he was nuts, said my psych reserved me a bed I am supposed to stay here and be seen, he said they are so backed up I wouldn't be seen till at the earliest 2 am, that is after already being there I hours and waiting to be triaged for 4 1/2 hours. Still can't sleep. Last night I was so happy to finally get 5 interrupted hours. Be nice if noninterrupted. I am on lamotrigine too but I take mine at 1pm. Still have racing thoughts also. They just increased my clonazipam to one in am and 2 an hour before bed. So I definitely know what you are talking about. I don't think I can take much more of this, a month is way to long. I have never had issues with sleep before.

Hmmmn...my Lamogtrigine dose was recently increased from 100 to 200mg and I have had more racing thoughts and insomnia. I did talk to my pdoc about this but as there are so many other factors at play in my life(Gone off anti-d, gone off lithium temporarily, starting ECT...) it is hard to know what the culprit is. Could you ask your pdoc? Going on other peoples posts it is definitely a possibility.
