I saw my new T tonight and we worked on my treatment plan. He is the first psychologist I have ever seen so that's made me nervous, mostly just because I wasn't sure what it would be like. Hes very nice but unlike any t I have seen.

We talked about my anxiety lately and how Ive been waking up panicking, which I haven't done in years! He said it sounds like I have a lot of worry and then gave me homework. I am supposed to find something that I like to do when worry sets in and immerse myself fully in it to get my mind onto something other than the worry. One thing mentioned was I like to color. Hes going to print off some mandalas for me to have.

So I don't remember the terms he used but basically we're gonna start with some DBT stuff soon. Hes gonna make me a binder of worksheets for that. I like that he explains things on a simple level. He tells me the term for then explains what things means. It means so much as right now I am having a hard time understanding things.

Overall, I am hopeful!
Thanks for this!

I am glad you got to see your new T. It always takes time to adjust to new clinicians as they all have different approaches to treatment. I hope you find this one helpful. It is great that you are hopeful. That is a good sign.

I love coloring in mandalas. It is so soothing. Treat yourself to some really nice colored pencils or markers
