Okay, so does anyone who suffers from bipolar disorder have multiple orgasms when manic? This has been a problem lately. I have had 10 orgasms within a short time period. Is this normal.

I'm sorry sweety, even though everyone wishes, this sounds like it's bothering you. Is it a physical discomfort?

My sex drive can certainly go on fire when I am manic and I NEED to have many orgasms a day or I will go bonkers. It is not a pleasant as people would guess it would be, although it can be really fun at times. Some meds calm my sex drive, like Anti-psychotics or anti-depressants. If it is really bothering you do you feel comfortable talking with your pdoc about this issue as there may well be something he/she can prescribe.

I'm glad you brought the awkward topic up first. I know "hypersexuality" is a symptom, but defining hypersexuality kind of puzzles me, because I'm sure it varies from person to person. I think what you're describing it likely normal for mania. Sometimes when I'm manic I don't even have to touch myself. The thought alone is enough, and while I'd normally consider myself straight, I've thought I was bisexual while manic; not to mention, I'm far more adventurous as well. Don't want to make this TMI by going into the specific details, but I want you to know you're not alone in experiencing this!

I think you need to consult your Pdoc and tell hm about the effects of bipolar hypersexuality is having on your body. I bet he's got remedies to soothe the situation verses having to live like that, or at least someone does.

This is a good part of being manic for me. . I can just be walking down the hallway and the orgasms just roll over me. I don't even have to do anything---they just happen. I miss that!

I don't need to be manic, that's normal for me.

Well, I wondered if it was normal considering my condition and if others experience it too.

No, but not for lack of trying! I'm asexual and I fly solo so to speak, LOL, but I've never noticed any difference in my sex drive at all.

Hey, y'all deserve a little extra good in your lives, heh. As long as it's a nice bonus and not something bothering you, of course.

I have them too. It is one of the more enjoyable parts of mania.
