I went to my grandma's on Friday and on Friday I was 173.4 Lbs. When I got home just a little bit ago I weighed myself and I am 177.6 Lbs. She made me fat by forcing me to eat something when I wasn't hungry. And when I did eat something she didn't tell me "That's too much food" or anything. And now I'm a fat $itch again. She should be ashamed of herself. I was doing good and then she went and messed it all up and now I'm depressed. I just want to go back to the 173 Lbs but I don't think that's gonna happen cuz that $itch screwed me over.

Okay its 4lbs, probably half that is water weight, I'm sorry that you felt forced to eat and her comments were just rude. I have an ED so I understand weight issues...

Try and relax, Do some deep breathing, figure out a way you can increase your exercise this week and I'm sure those few pounds will fall off as fast as they jumped on.

Your weight changes through the day. I start out at 217 and weigh 224 later in the day to start over again the next morning. Also food is not processed in just a couple hours.'I think it takes a couple days to see how you have been eating is affecting your weight. You also have the freedom to say "no". I know it can be hard because you may not want to offend your grandmother. I was the same way.

I would agree that most of that is probably water weight. I generally weigh 3lbs more in the evening than I do first thing in the morning. To gain 4 true lbs means consuming 14,000 calories MORE than your body needs, which is difficult to do in that short amount of time.

How old are you? You do have the ability to say no if you are an adult (I assume so because of the planned wedding). You seem to have some deep hatred for your grandmother which I dont really think has anything to do with your weight. Have you got a T? It sounds like you could really use some professional support.

No one can force you to eat or do anything else you don't want to. Just simply say...no thanks.....no further discussion is needed.

In other words don't allow other people to make decisions for you. She didn't make you fat or force you to eat......You made that decision.

It's not possible to gain weight that quickly. It also naturally fluctuates throughout the day, but it is not an actual change because it goes right back down.

Grandmother's also just have it in their nature to want to feed you. I don't think she has anything to be ashamed of from what you're saying so far. I don't know what your relationship is like with your Grandmother, but I was always taught to respect elders and especially family. If you've got a bad relationship for her (or a hatred as someone above called it), you should maybe talk to someone about it. Or idk just keep disliking her but realize she is family and not call her names behind her back?

Wait wait wait, just wait a minute, somebody stop the train please!!!

Did you seriously expect your grandmother to tell you when YOU'VE had enough to eat?

*shakes head in disbelief

Last time I had to do that my daughter was 2 years old. She's 11 now and is able to tell when she's had enough to eat. She recognizes "full" just fine.

If you have a gluttony problem of some sort (like you can't for some or other reason recognize feeling full), I suggest you find a plate that's just the right size and stick to singular portions, no second or third helpings.

What on Earth is the world coming to when adults blame grandmas for not letting us know we've had enough to eat.

Oh my. Well, grandmas are notorious for wanting to feed you cookies they've made or even things they've bought. Just take it as a sign she loves you very much and wants to spoil you. Grandmas love to spoil their grandkids, even when they've adults. Just say something like "I appreciate that you made/bought me *whatever the item is,* but I'm simply too full to eat it."

Please don't worry too much about four pounds. It's part of natural weight fluctuation. Many recommend only checking your weight once a week for that reason. People will get anxious about gaining a few pounds day to day, and there's a natural fluctuation. You'll be fine! Stuffing your face one day won't hurt you too much either—it's when you do it everyday that it gets to be an issue.

Your grandma did not screw you over. She might have been concerned that you were eating too little.

And I'm with everyone else -- that 4lbs is most likely water weight.

Here: There are 3,500 calories in 1lb of fat. In order to gain 4lbs of fat between Friday and Monday, you'd have to have eaten 14,000 calories. I very, very seriously doubt that happened.

I think your grandma just wants to make sure you're eating enough because she cares about you and your health.

You need to take responsibility for how much you eat. No one else takes that responsibility for you. You said you ate too much, but how can you eat too much if you're not hungry?

And why do you believe you won't lose that 4lbs?

I think you're projecting all your negative feelings and shame against yourself onto her. You feel like you screwed yourself over. You feel like you should be ashamed of yourself.

You need to be much, much kinder to both yourself and to her.

Cymbalta, 60mg -- for the depression.
Latuda, 40mg -- for the paranoia (delusional type).

Xanax, .5 mg as needed -- for the anxiety.
Topamax, 50mg -- still figuring this one out.

MDD, but possibly have some form of Bipolar Disorder. Then again, I could be paranoid . . .

Well, at least I still have my sense of humor.
