I have been off welbutrin for almost two weeks. I either feel down or totally flat. Any ideas if this is withdrawal or me needing to be on an ad? I see pdoc in 2 weeks but I have a bottle of Prozac here. I have never not been on an ad. It seems I really do need one, or is it rebound from wellbutrin? I know you aren't doctors just want some personal experiences.

FYI anti depressants have never in over 20 years caused mania in me.

There are potentially serious problems with self medicating so I strongly recommend not doing that without a call to your doctor's office to confirm the idea as safe.

I'm not self medicating. My dr took me off the welbutrin and as for the Prozac I would ask her at my appt.

Thanks for the link

I have withdrawal from welbutrin years ago but can't remember what it was like

I was taken off wellbutrin last Sunday because of a mix up with the pharmacy and insurance. I am feeling the same thing you described and lower and lower each day. I am going back on in 2 weeks but I am amazed how much my system seems to need it to function. My doctor and I didn't think the dose was high enough to be doing anything but now I have no energy, my brain feels wrapped in a wet towel, can't focus, and have started crying at everything. I wouldn't recommend self medicating without calling your dr and at least giving them a heads up though. Hope it works out for you.
