I'm not even sure if I'm hypomanic right now because I swing every few days recently and not to the extremes. I have BPII and suspected ADD so a lot of the impulsive behaviour could be because of that, especially when I feel like I'm almost baseline at the moment. However, since I'm not yet diagnosed with ADD I will assume this is an effect of a hypomanic episode. I'm curious as to whether you guys recognise your behaviour as abnormal during the episode and just don't care, or simply feel like it's normal until after the episode is over. Personally I fall into the former, and then when the depression kicks in I beat myself up about it 10x over. Also, what's the craziest thing you've done while hypersexual (if it's not too TMI)?
Another thing, do you get hypersexual while in a mixed episode?

Hypersexual is a symptom of mania. So yes, it can happen in a mixed state. Traditional ADD stimulants are horrible for bipolar. My brother tried Strattera, which is a non-stimulant treatment, and got manic. I also have a little ADHD, but I take Zoloft which can be used off label. It seems to help and doesn't make me manic. This totally depends the person though. It is trial and error till you find the right combination.
