I knew it was going to be bad when i woke up to flashing lights. So yesterday I was late for work, lost my cell phone on the expressway, went back to get it, narrowly escaped a ticket (or worse) from the state trooper who stopped what I was doing, was late to a meeting, was almost in a car accident due to a failure to signal and forgot that i asked my ex to pick up my son.

My brother came from out of town to visit. I know he came to check on me. I told him about the manic episode a couple of weeks ago and the medication changes and he has not seen me. This dx is new to the family, but he is the only one that sort of gets it. He has hallucinations (not flashing lights but people and animals).

I failed the "pretend there is nothing going on with me" test. Paced until 1:00 in the morning, overran my speech. It was bad enough that the guy who doesn't sleep was telling me to go to bed. For me, business as usual. Guess it's best that my husband lost interest and found other resources to stroke his ego. I'd have to hear that I was avoiding him every night.

I feel like Charlie (flowers for algernon). That darned rat is slowly catching up me again. Thought this medication was going to work.

It was a quite an "off" day yesterday. Today, i am welcomed with flashing lights. . .

So the flashing lights are a hallucination you get? Are they like blindingly bright and block your vision? Or just in certain spots?
